You know that feeling when you start a new project and you are completely all in? You pick the fabric, get everything cut, and you are excited because you can already picture how good it is going to look when it is done.
Then somewhere in the middle, you stop.
Not because you want to. It just kind of happens. You lose momentum, it starts to feel harder than it did at the beginning, and you begin second guessing what you are doing. At some point, you set it aside and tell yourself you will come back to it later.
And now it is sitting there, half finished.
I used to think this meant I just needed more motivation or discipline, but that is not actually what is going on.
What is really happening is decision fatigue.
At the beginning of a project, everything feels easy because the decisions are simple. You are following clear steps, making obvious choices, and there is a sense of progress. But once you hit the middle, that changes. You start asking yourself questions like what comes next, if something looks right, or whether you should redo something. Those small decisions start stacking up quickly, and before you know it, it feels overwhelming.
So you walk away.
Not because you cannot do it, but because your brain is tired of trying to figure it all out.
What helped me was changing how I handle that middle part of a project. Instead of trying to think through everything at once, I focus on just the next step. I do not worry about the finished result or whether everything is perfect. I just ask myself what the very next thing is and do that.
That one shift made a huge difference.
Finishing projects is not about staying motivated the whole time. It is about reducing how many decisions you have to make so you can keep moving forward even when it is not exciting anymore.
This is also why having clear, step by step guidance matters so much. When you are not constantly guessing what to do next, you do not hit that same wall in the middle. You just keep going.
If you have something sitting there unfinished right now, try this. Pull it out, ignore the fact that it is not done, and focus on the very next step. That is how projects actually get finished.

Things YOU have been loving!
EVERYDAY COMFORT BRA
This is the one you replace all your other bras with. Smooth, comfortable, no digging, no adjusting, just put it on and go. It gives you shape without that stiff, uncomfortable feeling.
If you’re still wearing bras you cannot wait to take off, you’re overdue for this.
FLORAL GRAPHIC TEE
This is the kind of tee you grab without thinking… and somehow always look good in. Super soft, easy fit, and the simple floral detail makes it feel a little more special than your basic t-shirt. If your goal is cute and effortless, this one checks every box.
PINK + WHITE STRIPED CARDIGAN
This is the throw-on piece you end up wearing way more than you expected. It’s soft, lightweight, and that relaxed fit makes everything look cute without trying. Toss it over anything and you instantly look put together.
If you love easy outfits that still feel styled, this one is going to live on repeat.
